ESA assessment need to change date was created by Pj123
Hi
I returned my esa 50 last week! I requested home visit and Stupidly forgot to mention that my partner works and need her with me so Saturday assessment would be required due to social phobia severe anxiety..,
They sent me a midweek date for next week! My partners working that day and cannot get time off!
I also stated I’d send in a GP letter and results of MRI which was the other day so no results back, GP is always phone on the day and I’ve not managed to get an appointment as she only works 3 days now!
Not sure what to do! I’m really stressed
They’ve also not mentioned a thing about recording the assessment! It’s all been done so fast, assessment within 9 days of esa 50 getting posted in.

So you need to call Maximus and try and arrange a weekend appointment but be aware, not all Maximus offices are open over the weekend so you need to have a plan B which I would assume would mean you partner taking time off work, so have a list of dates that they would be available to do this.

Did you make a formal request to have the assessment recorded?

Hi Gordon
Thank you for the reply.
I put it on the ESA form that I require recording due to a previous assessment not stating what I had said correctly and ended up with me winning a written tribunal.
I’ve also found out my GP is off on leave until the middle of next week, it’s so difficult to get an appointment as it’s book on the day so lots of people ring in at the same time.

They have ignored my request for a home visit! Not even mentioned it, they’ve just said turn up this Friday
I feel like I’m stuffed as if I attend without a GPS letter of support plus the mri results they will just sto my CB esa and I’ll have to appeal again.
My wife can’t get a day off until the end of the this month and I can’t go alone. Not sure what to do

I'm afraid you won't get a home assessment in your testimony alone, you need a letter from your GP confirming in unambiguous terms that you cannot attend at their offices.

You may struggle to get an appointment for May, their booking system usually only covers the next three weeks, so I would not call until the day before the current appointment.

It may help to first point out that you requested your assessment be recorded, this often results in a new assessment being booked at no fault to the claimant.

Thanks Gordon.

Would it be best to call or would you recommend an email? I’ve no trust in these people after what happened last time!
It’ll be difficult enough going to their office but not to far away thankfully, I’ve also got some Diazepam to help me be more relaxed.
I’m just worried they give me a date my wife cannot attend, I’d be snookered because I couldn’t attend on my own.

Although an email gives you a paper trail, it does not give you any control of the process. If you phone then you can hopefully arrange an acceptable appointment, if you email them then you may just get the first available appointment.
