Mental State Examination MSE. was created by Ted Pea
The nurse apparently carried out a Mental State Examination at my PIP assessment, which seems to be a rather rudimentary affair, and I can't see it's value beyond assessing risk at that particular point in time.
However, I've got a suspicion that the DWP regard the nurse's intuition to be a definitive assessment of my permanent mental health status.
Does anyone know if this is the case, that the nurse's MSE is what the DWP use to supersede all professional medical evidence?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi T
Anecdotal evidence tells us that Assessors and Decision Makers do have faith in these standard tests despite there not being a great deal of evidence to their value. However, the use of them does not automatically mean the results will automatically over-ride any of the other evidence that you submit. So until you see your medical report you will not know.

My other suspicion is that the nurse, when she'd satisfied herself that I don't suffer from depression and anxiety, due to her advanced intuition, then decided to take as many points off me as possible, by tricking me, and also committing fraud.
That assessment report dramatically worsened my health, and all because a nurse thinks she's Sigmund Freud, after an hour of training.
