Waiting time for PIP appeals was created by Rob
Just thought I’d bounce this back up for discussion/info. I was required to reapply for pip in March 2018 exactly a year to the day before it ran out. After the usual nonsense of f2f with a so-called ‘health-professional’ ( in reality a newly qualified nurse with very little experience who had worked for autos for less than 9 months) and MR. made on online Appeal in Feb 2019.

In Jun 2019 I wrote o the clerk of court for an update on listing. The reply said:

“ your appeal is at 22 weeks, we are currently listing cases at 43 weeks’

At this rate, my appeal will be scheduled for early December 2019 (if I’m lucky).

In the meantime, I have to sit and watch the DWP’s debt accrue (underpayment of PIP). The only consolation is that it’s a good way of saving some money and when they finally get told to pay the correct rate, perhaps I’ll use the money to go on holiday.

The DWP were spanked by the FTT last time, I wish that they would be fined/censured for a second failing!

Good luck (although I am sure you won’t need it). I have been waiting for 45 weeks and I have heard nothing. I am now assuming my tribunal waiting period will be about a year. I wouldn’t mind, but I just feel as though I have wasted more than a year just being very depressed and extremely anxious. It’s sad. I have, however, accumulated and submitted more and more hard medical evidence in the interim, so I suppose that’s good, as I must have had about 20 hospital appointments since lodging the appeal. It should never have come to this. I am sure you must feel the same.

VOR Stally, I don't want to worry you unduly but, last week, my successful tribunal took place 64 weeks after I appealed. This is in West Yorkshire.
