Had my pip f2f today went with my daughter who has a highly paid managerial job and we were both annoyed at the attitude of the assessor. She just wanted to get through the questions as quickly as possible, wouldn’t listen to any explanations as to how a condition affected me and talked over the top of my daughters input. Then she took me over the room to an examination bed and I had to ask for the step from under the bed to get on. Then she proceeded to try to get me to raise my leg, bend my knee push her hands away using my legs. Then I was asked to get off the bed. Again, I had to ask for the step to get down. She then asked me to sit on a seat and try to raise my legs. Then I had to stand and raise my arms independently and touch my other hand with each of my fingers. I knew from her questioning me and my answers that she had very limited medical knowledge and confused one of my illnesses with another one. She was just going through the motions.. Their pamphlet states “to make every experience a good one!” That’s the last thing that it was. I am a retired nurse, can articulate my problems and had read other people’s bad experiences, they weren’t exaggerating. I like everyone else spent hours filling in the assessment form, collated lots of written information from my consultants and physio and came out of there thinking I haven’t got a cat in hells chance. When I asked her why and what the examinations were for she told me that she just had to do them. My advice to anyone else going for f2f is the best of luck.

Hi
Waiting for my f2f , like you I have a medical background and given enough time I can articulate my condition, I absolutely dread being rushed as I tend to just close down.
I wonder how a Physio can get to the bones of complex conditions in 60 mins?
I really hope you get a good outcome
