Recording home pip face to face assessment was created by Moonlightandjj
I have a home pip face to face assessment next week and I have heard and read that you can voice record this, but you have to let them know days before hand and obviously have 2 copies. So a dual recorder or 2 recorders need to be recording at the same time.
Has anyone done this?
I have never had a medical for dla/ ic before and didn’t for esa change over, this is my first for pip ( change over)
But I do have bad experiences of previous medicals for industrial injuries which ended up with me going to London and winning. Judge said it should never of come to it. I had all evidence, medical and I was classic case of the injury I was claiming for etc.
But it took over 7years!!!
This is something I do not want to go through again!!
So I am obviously looking at anything that will help in assessments/ interviews. Because I know from past experience they don’t listen or write the truth.
So can anyone advise me?
Have you done this?
Did it work?
Did they allow it?
How did you do it?
Thank you

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Moonlightanddjj
Recording PIP assessments
It needs to be made to two tapes or CDs simultaneously.
You cannot use a digital recorder such as a mobile phone.
A member has reported problems if the media is not new, so make sure that the tapes or CDs are still shrink-wrapped and opened in the presence of the assessor.
You need to give one of the recordings to the assessor.
Most members have used two relatively cheap cassette recorders, check that they record without a problem, some have used external microphones.

You do need to inform DWP in advance. I think it is at least 48 hours.
