Grateful if anyone could advise on a text I've received from the DWP.
I applied for New Style ESA, at the beginning of July, ESA50 form returned to them in mid July, no face to face appointment received yet.
I sent them a photograph of my new medical certificate issued last week, received a text confirmation straight away confirming they had received it. This morning I've received a further text saying 'We've received your Fit Note. To get National Insurance Credits you must continue to send your Fit Notes in. Your next Fit Note is due on ............'
I'm wondering does this mean they have decided I'm not entitled to any ESA benefits other than paying my NI contributions? My ESA payment is showing as going into my bank account tomorrow but I'm wondering if they've decided on the basis of my form this is my last payment.
Although we have not seen this text before I don't believe that it indicates that a Decision has been made. As this is a new claim, payment of the assessment rate (and you receiving NI Credits) is dependant on your maintaining an active Fit Note withe the DWP until a Decision is made.
