Hi JWSmith79

I suggest you have a look at our PIP guide which runs through every stage of the process. It's a large guide but it will help you understand how best to answer each question. Conditions like ADHD can often be misunderstood - so it's important that their difficulties are described in detail against the specific PIP criteria. Don't assume that the assessor reading it will know all about the condition or assume that they should understand the impact it has on someone's life. Get any medical evidence you can and if there is a family member and/or friend who know them well and see the impact - get them to write supporting letters.

Come back when you've had a look at the guide if you have more questions.

You can download the guide www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip or look at the individual sections online www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claim...pip/pip-claims-guide
