Welcome to Benefits and Work To be clear this is not defined in the PIP Regulations, this is an operational decision by the DWP and has no right of appeal.
The DWP has not published any guidance on this so we cannot provide definitive information, Some members have been contacted well in advance of their PIP awards ending and have been told that their existing award has been superseded to an On-Going one with a Light Touch review, although we have no idea what this means at the moment.
Most have not been contacted and it is possible that this will not happen until the DWP look at their award.
So to summarise, you will be moved to an On-Going award but we can't say when this will happen.
