P.I.P Medical history from doctor. was created by netcoach1
Could someone please advise as doctors surgery say they cannot provide private letter for pip review and will only provide letter when DWP request it from them. However they have provided a medical history, is this worth sending to DWP ?? Also the review for form is asking for a lot of detail so could this trigger another assessment ??. Thank you.

Yes, I would include the history but as it is not specific to the PIP Descriptors it will make it more likely that you will have to attend a face to face.

I understand that many surgeries (health authorities?) won't supply a GP letter until you reach the appeal stage. Your GP will frequently have no idea of how the descriptors apply to your life.

When I changed from DLA to PIP I got all relevant medical records from my GP. I agreed when he said there were just to many to print them all out so we selected the relevant ones plus all consultant letters. I then numbered each page and when filling in the forms I cross referenced back to the relevant page with something like "See consultant's report on page * of medical record."
