Scotland Audit and overall claim time. was created by mohair58
Last week I underwent three hour home visit for PIP assessment. Two hours of rapid fire questions which overlapped subject matters all of which I'd already covered having spent over 40 hours completing the form. That was over four months ago now I'm told it'll be around two months before I hear.

This is a shift over from indefinite DLA to PIP. I was told an audit is under way in Scotland which I suggest will be due to number of claims rejected as visitor seemed very flustered throughout process trying to put words in my mouth but failing. Do other claimants feel they were rushed and under interrogation for three hours? Furthermore it seems assessment isn't evidence based around conditions rather how a claimant deals with them? Completely arbitrary and open to abuse I'd suggest rather than common sense attached to actually diagnosed conditions? There must be certain commonalities around say anaemia, sepsis, arthritis treatment and outcomes? Truly horrible experience and I'm expecting the rejection letter early December.

If your assessment was four months ago and you have still not received a Decision then I would think about making a complaint to the DWP and involving your MP or MSP.
