Hi just received a letter for a medical to attend did request a home visit. called up and they refused as i wrote in the form that can get agressive and violent in unfamiliar places but the letter states than you can get a home visit if you sent medical evidence . Unable to go due to servere anxiety and agoraphobia they advised to send in the letter to dwp and they will look at the evidence .what shall i do can they refuse a home visit as it will cause me alot of anxiety emotionaly and physically.
The priority for the assessment service is always going to be for the safety of their staff. If you can get your GP to back you up, then need to write a letter saying that you are unable to be assessed at all and need a paper-based assessment or you need one carried out in your home. If it is a home visit the doctor needs to add a sentence that you do not display any violence in a place that is familiar to you.
