pip assesment was created by andypandy
had pip face to face the medical assessors report is full of lies, and is not a true account of what was asked and the answers given .On entering the room for the face to face assessment my wife informed the medical assessor that due to hearing problems I had an appointment with a hearing specialist the next day. Through out the assessment I had trouble hearing what was being said so my wife had to repeat the question's or answered them for me. in the medical assessors report she states that I have no problems with my hearing and communicated well. After seeing the hearing specialist I now have to wear hearing aids. Should I appeal that the assessors medical report is misleading and does not give an accurate account of my medical conditions.

Have you had a Decision yet?
If not then there is a window for you to write to the Decision Maker but you will need to be quick.
Understand that the assessor is offering an opinion when they say that you can do the PIP activities, tackling these head-on is unlikely to be successful, you need to show that the basis of that opinion is founded on incorrect information, so try and refer to your evidence to undermine what they have said.
Also, try and stick to issues that lead to your scoring points, I often hear members referring to the assessors spelling, as an example, whilst it may show a lack of professionalism, raising it as an issue isn't going to help you get an award.
Lastly, make sure that you understand the criteria that you are being assessed against you can put the best case forward that is possible but you won't score points if you do not meet the PIP Descriptors.

Thank you Gordon for your reply
Applied for pip in nov,2018,had medical assessment in jan,2019,decision letter in march 2019 disallowed pip, made a request for a mandatory reconsideration in April 2019,it was not until September 2019 that I received letter disallowing pip, appealing to a tribunal still waiting for a court date it has taken nearly a year now and still going. Are the DWP doing this on a purpose to wear you down and hope you just give in and stop the claim.

Hi Andypandy
I am afraid that in most parts of the country tribunal dates for PIP are taking more than 45 weeks.
