Hi Ketomum
There have been wide variations in how quickly people are hearing. It used to be 10 - 14 days, but don't panic if it's longer.
Even though you are your daughter's appointee, an assessor is likely to want to hear from your daughter if only to confirm that she has 'limited understanding and poor communication skills'. How much you are allowed to speak on her behalf will depend a bit on the assessor. A good assessor will establish right from the beginning how much they will allow you to intervene. If they don't mention it - then you need to raise it.
