PIP : Paper only tribunal. What next? was created by LinW13
Hello All,
Been waiting since begining of 2019 for my tribunal. December date was cancelled and of course the virus has got in the way a tad. Anyhow, I got a letter a few days ago to say that a decision has been made on the papers only without a hearing.
They have upheld my appeal and my mobility has been raised to standard. This is such a relief. Thank you all for your help and support.
However, the letter then has a paragraph headed "Implementing the Decision".
This states that the Tribunal has no legal powers to enforce its decisions.
Thankfully, I kept your email dated 23-03-2020 which explains that this is only a provisional decision. You go on to say that both I and the DWP will be asked to agree the decision - at which point it becomes final.
Their letter to me tells me what to do if I disagree, but does not ask me to confirm that I agree. I plan to write to confirm that I accept their decision. But if anybody here has any advice to offer, I'm happy to listen.
Thanks once again for this website and all the advice and support it offers.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi LinW
That is really terrific news, well done and congratulations. I am not sure in regards to paper appeals as I have not come across one. Other members on this forum may have more knowledge on paper appeals.
