Hi, I recently started a claim for UC, I have been sending sick notes and have now received the work capability form to fill in. My question is that my work coach keeps booking phone interviews every couple of weeks asking how i am and if i feel better enough to start looking for work again. While i appreciate the concern i find my work coach to be overly pushy and pressuring during these interviews, i don't feel like they have my best interests in mind and are simply more concerned with getting me back to work with little regard to my health.

I have no work commitments listed and i am sending sick notes, Do i have an obligation to keep partaking in these phones interviews?

I'm afraid you need to participate.

At the moment you are being treated as having Limited Capability for Work until it has been determined that you actually have LCW and an award is made, even then, if it is only an LCW award you will still be expected to participate in Work Related Activity in anticipation of your being well enough to return to work at some time in the future.
