The details of phone assessments can be found in our guide. There are ten pages starting from page 81.
You can have someone on the call with you, but just as with face to face assessments, the assessor will expect you to speak to you and for you to do the majority of the talking. if that was not possible you would have to make it clear before the assessment takes place.(reasons are usually down to specific communication or cognitive difficulties).
