ESA medical assessment

Hi just wondering if anyone can tell me how different the esa medical assessment is compared to PIP. I’m a new claimant for both. Found out today I’ve been awarded standard rate for daily living for PIP but I have my ESA assessment next week? Any insight would be good it’s by video whereas pip was by phone.

Hi Jennifer, if you check out the guide on the site for ESA for physical and mental health from page 108 onwards, it will inform you about preparation and information on the assessment on the day. The assessor uses the Lima system to score claimants.
