Hi

I have today received a letter from the PIP Office with this heading basically asking me if I want them to relook at my claim.

My claim should have ended in November last year but I received a letter extending this to August 2023 - is this anything to do with this or my original claim?

If I ask them to look at now does this mean if they change it the changes wold be retrospect or going forward as my decision was made by a tribunal originally.

If they are our rights, why do we have to fight for them?

Hi Oscarab

I don't think it has anything to do with your extension, it may be due to LEAP review. If you asked them to look at your claim again and found in your favour then your claim should be backdated.

I would contact your local Welfare Rights Organisation and show them your letter. You can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
