Access to Work - not meeting Lower Earnings Limit

Hi there,

I've applied for a grant via Access to Work - I work from home due to my health conditions. Earlier this year I
developed a new health condition (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) which means I need to be as reclined/flat as possible in order to work - this requires an adapted workspace set up. I can't afford one myself and have therefore cut back on hours worked while I apply for Access to Work Grant for equipment to help me.

However, largely due to a) homeschooling responsibilities during lockdown when my partner couldn't furlough and b) the specific issues caused by this new health problem I have for the last couple of years been unable to hit the 'Lower Earnings Limit' that you are required to show. Basically, they want to see income of a certain level to prove that your business is viable before they spend money on you. My problem is I can't earn more money or increase my hours unless I have an adapted work station.

Can anyone signpost me to any organisations that might help me challenge this and advise me on what evidence I could use to persuade them to reconsider my case?
