Moving home but same council area was created by S123
Hello, I will be moving to a smaller property ( as soon as one is available) I would like to know as I receive ESA support group, SDP, Housing Benefit and PIp, would the move to the same local council area force me to onto UC, or would I stay on the same Legacy Benefits? As I calculated I would be worse off on the UC.

Secondly the PM said the managed migration to UC from Legacy benefits will be in 2028 would that apply to myself with the benefits I receive or could it be sooner? Look forward to your replies.

Hi Sidhu123

Changing addresses in the same area should have no impact on your benefits.

The managed migration should not affect you before 2028, as it has been announced. We don't expect that date to change, but none of these things is ever set in stone.
