In the context of a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) award, "indefinite" means the award will last for as long as the claimant remains entitled to it, with no fixed end date. Although there is no specific end date, these awards are typically reviewed every 10 years.
However, the DWP maintains the right to review any award at any time, and even when someone has an indefinite award, if the DWP judges that the claimant's condition has 'improved', they could change the award or the award length.
So, if you have an enhanced award for mobility indefinitely, you can expect to be reviewed around ten years from the date on the letter.
