ESA SUPPORT & HOUSING BENEFIT GROUP TO UC MIGRATION was created by Purpemintz
Hello,
I have been in the esa support group for many years, receive housing benefit and pip high rate for both due to chronic serious illnesses.
I received a letter for uc migration today and have no clue how it all works.
My query is will I have to make a fresh claim like I did for esa with the face to face appointments again or do they just change one to the other?
Kind rgds

Hi Purpemintz
I would advise you to use the Citizens Advice Help to Claim service. Their phone number is on page 2 of your Managed Migration letter.
Here is a recommendation from Forum member VIA--

HELLO AGAIN
I HAVE NOW RECEIVED MY PIP REVIEW FORM AFTER A 7 YEAR AWARD.
I OBTAINED A COPY OF MY LAST PIP PA4 OF MY LAST AWARD.
SINCE THEN IVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH OSTEOPOROSIS AND SOME BONE EDEMAS BUT MY ORIGINAL CONDITION THAT I GOT MY PIP FOR HASNT CHANGED.
I GOT 12 FOR MOBILITY AND 9 FOR DAILY LIVING.
SHOULD I USE MY PA4 DETAILS FOR THIS REVIEW WORD FOR WORD OR WORK FROM THE NOTES USING DIFFERENT WORDING AND SHOULD I INCLUDE MY OSTEOPOROSIS AND BONE ISSUES OR NOT?
WOULD THESE CHANGES TRIGGER A F2F MEDICAL?
ALSO, MY UC MIGRAGTION LETTER IS DUES BACK MID AUGUST. WHICH SHOULD I SEND IN FIRST?
PIP REVIEW DUE BACK END JULY.
IM IN THE ESA SUPPORT GROUP.
MANY THANKS

Hi Purpemintz
In the long term the government have stated that they want more Face to Face assessments but for now it would depend on staff availability.
Have you got all the endorsements of your condition from friends, neighbours, relatives and clinicians ? The more and the more contemporary the better.
If you're behind you could ask for an extension.
Check out the advice in our guides.

Hello
What is endorsements?
I can’t have any more treatment as there’s nothing left inside to remove as all has been taken out over years of operations.
