Prepare for and attend your Biographical appointment by phone was created by Wirralguy
Hi all.I have submitted my ESA(sg) migration to UC.
I couldn't verify my id online so next tuesday(10/6/2025) i will be receiving a 'biographical appointment by phone' i am naturally worried about this and quite unsure what a biographical phone call is.
Also on my UC account it states:: 'You said your health affects you at work or prevents you from working. You might need to have an assessment before we can consider if you will get extra money for this':
As i have migrated from esa(SG)to UC i thought no assessment was required? Really worried.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Wirralguy
You will be asked 3 questions from the information that the DWP hold on you in their CIS Searchlight IT system. They are usually quite simple regarding things such as previous addresses and bank accounts.
Let me know how you get on.

Hi Wirralguy
They are migrating almost one million people over to UC this year. They barely have enough staff for this let alone starting on the backlog of Health reviews. I would not worry for now. Keep an eye on the news section of BenefitsandWork to see the latest changes.
