Hi Tyso

If you look at the Guide to PIP Claims and Reviews - you will find information on how to complete the form - from page 129 onwards.

honestly I found the information from page 129 onwards unhelpful
There is a little assitance and guidance but this new form is awful.
Why isn't there a safety question for the cooking and preparing food (I cannot do this safely)
yet there is a safety question for managing money?
It seems designed to mislead people filling it out since I do need support to manage money and decisions, but in relation to safety?

Hi krysuk

I'm sorry that you didn't find the information useful, but It does suggest that for additional information on the individual questions you go back and look at the advice earlier in the guide where you will find sample answers which you may be able to adapt for your own circumstances. It also gives you guidance on how to include safety issues.

Thanks for the reply, I guess since the main guide is focused on the original questions from the form, splitting that down into the new questions feels very difficult the way they are phrased compared to before. Especially the questions of each activity like when it comes to

* Do you need to use an aid? What aids fo you use and how often?

* Do you need prompting? What do they do for you and how often?

* Do you need help from another person? What do you need and how often do you need it?

I'm getting there with the answers, its just very alien compared to the original forms (especially since the advisor from a charity helping me still had all the questions from the old forms still)

I'm still at a loss how I make managing my money a safety issue specifically (that is what they ask as the key question as to whether you move to the next activity or are allowed to complete the rest of the questions) when its the other descriptors that I struggle with managing and understanding my money - acceptably, repeatedly and timely for the majority of days?

Hi krysuk

Managing your money looks at what change you would get if something cost £2.67 and you gave £10.

I know many claimants who do not check their change, what ever they are given they just put in their pocket.

it is easier nowadays for claimants, as they only tap their credit/debit card on a machine at checkout, but the question still applies to them.
