Universal Credit Migration with Severe Disabiltiy Premium Deductions was created by Carolasks
Hi, I've received my migration notice to Universal Credit from Income Related ESA and Housing Benefit.
I'm trying to calculate how much I may be allowed on UC, and used the calculator on Turn2Us.
In theory it says I might receive the same money I already get, however it is also deducting the Severe Disability Premium of £451.10 per month under 'Other Income'. - I do not receive any other income than benefits.
When I look at the alleged 'Other Income' it is listed as the "Severe Disablement Allowance - This was abolished in April 2001, if you are still receiving this you may be reassessed for Employment and Support Allowance."
So is this calculator incorrect?
As far as I'm aware any Disability allowances are paid through UC.

We cannot answer your question as we do not have all the facts. We would advise you to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Organisation: advicelocal.uk
UC is quite an easy benefit to work out, it has basic calculations, for a single person over the age of 25 claiming ESA Support living in rented accommodation the calculations go as follows:
Single standard allowance £400.14 + Housing Element (rent), this will vary depending on your tenancy agreement and if you are under occupied or have non dependants living with you + LCWRA £423.27. There are other elements you may be eligible to claim depending on your circumstances.
Claimants in receipt of ESA in the support group receiving SDP and EDP will be worse off claiming UC, we advise claimants to wait until they get letter inviting them to apply for UC as they will then be eligible for transitional protection which should top up their UC award so that they are initially no worse off.
