PIP review text message from HAAS, what next? was created by MummyBear
Hello all
I was awarded pip earlier this year then got a Fibromyalgia diagnosis in August. I called pip to let them know and they sent me a review form to fill in. I added plenty of extra information as I have a few health conditions and issues that are caused by the fibro.
Anyway within 2 weeks of sending the form back I got a text message from HAAS saying they are looking at the evidence and will contact me if they need to book an assessment with me.
It’s been almost 4 weeks since that last message. I had an assessment when I first applied, I’m wondering if they would still want to do another or is this the typical time they take?
I hate all this waiting 😩
At the moment I’m getting standard rate daily care and nothing for mobility, I did initially appeal their decision (assessment report was full of nonsense that I didn’t say) but decided to give up since I had a new diagnosis and more evidence to show through the review/change in circumstances.

Hi MummyBear
As you informed them that you had a new diagnosis and told them additional information about your health conditions - this is being viewed as a change of circumstances, which is why you were sent a review form. They will then decide what type of assessment you will have, which could be paper-based, telephone, video or face-to-face. (Video and face-to-face are rarely used at the moment). So I can't tell you whether they will do a paper-based assessment or whether they may want to speak to you.
I know you have been waiting four weeks to hear, but the time you have to wait can vary considerably from weeks to months. Hopefully, you will hear soon.
