Hi Chrystal

Yes you can continue to be an Appointee in those circumstances. If someone gives you information it is better to get it in writing then they are less likely to make mistakes.

Thanks so much
Is this something then that is classed as a change of circumstances with you saying it would be best to get in writing , is being an appointee when your In support group contribution based
Something you have to ring and notify , as I don’t have it in writing and now I’m anxious that as I don’t have it in writing they could say I didn’t tell them and I will be in trouble thanks , I rang as I tell everyone everything , but I didn’t get it in writing the advisor said I didn’t need to tell them because it’s an administrative thing for my daughters benefits not a job or change in my health , but some advisors say different things about holidays , ( I’m not asking about holidays ) it was just a comparison
I have severe anxiety so with you saying get in writing in this something that is notifiable could they say I’ve done something wrong if I don’t have proof I rang them if they ever question me ? do you get what I mean I’m so sorry David thank you

Hi Chrystal

Being an Appointee only applies to the DWP and it is recorded on the DWP IT systems so I would not worry if you have not got any paperwork about it.

Hi David ,

I’m so sorry I know your busy I think I don’t explain very clear

I have proof I am an appointee I meant I don’t have it in writing from esa that I rang and told them I’m an appointee . I receive the esa support group
Contributions based I am appointee for my daughter who is a child receiving pip

I meant
Question

Is it a change of circumstances that needs reporting as a change of circumstances when you receive esa for yourself and become an appointee for someone else’s pip payments does it need reporting .for your own esa claim
As when I rang esa they said it doesn’t matter but I didn’t get that in writing and you said it’s best to get it in writing
I’m so sorry for any confusion

Hi Chrystal

As I said previously your Appointeeship was issued by the DWP and applies to all of the DWP.
So as ESA is part of the DWP it applies to them. What you have in writing then already applies to them. So there is nothing to worry about.
