Good evening
My son has just had his pip award renewed at enhaced for both he is currently due to leave 6th form in a couple of months can he get universal credit with lwrca in his own right or has the lwrca finished for new claimants

Hi Jshaun1968

Your son will need to have a WCA after making his new UC claim. If he gets the LCWRA element it will unfortunately be at the new lower rate.
