Hi Guys,

I have an opportunity to move home and be closer to my support network/friends.

The property is in a different town/council district and the rent would be about £7.50 extra a month than what I am paying now.

My question is what is the process of notifying the change of address and rent in UC? (step by step please so my poor old brain can understand :) )

How long does the process take usually when notifying UC and what can I expect to happen?

Hi KeithW

If you are getting Transitional Protection then that will be reduced by the increase of £7.50 per month to your Housing Costs.
You need to report the move on your UC account you will then sent To Do's on your account which you need to action step by step.
Also remember to contact your new Council if you want to apply for Council Tax Reduction.
