Form hardly any space to write in

Hi
I have been sent a pip form to review my pip award. It doesn't ask me whether anything has changed or not (in the past I would just write in answer to each question "nothing has changed" when it asked that). At the bottom it says PIP 1043 32 pages. This version of the pip form has barely any room to write anything it's crazy, even if I use very small hand writing. I'm scared that if I use additional pages they will ignore them saying they were "lost"as I do not trust them at all. What should I do? Also I am sending in evidence of my prescriptions which they used to specifically say not to do, now they say to do it. How do I ensure they don't lose it? Cellotape to form? Paperclip? And I guess write down in the 'anything else you want to tell us' box that I have attached x number of pages?

Hi Xyz

You can add extra pages, make sure that you number the pages, if you use 10 extra pages number them ; 1 of 10, 2 of 10 .... 9 of 10, and 10 of 10. On each extra page, write your name and National insurance number.

When using extra pages, write on the form in large writing; see page 8 of 10 so the assessor can go direct to the correct page for the answer, try not to split your answer between the form and the extra page(s).

Punch a hole in the corner of the page and tie them all together so they don't get lost.

Don't forget to make a copy of your application form when you have completed it and send it off by recorded delivery.

Gary

thank you very much Gary. Recorded delivery? I wasnt aware that you recommend this? Once I sent something recorded delivery to a government dept and they didnt get it (I dont remember the details) so I thought maybe recorded delivery doesnt go into the same sacks of mail at the dwp and maybe therefore gets lost. altho i guess i can at least prove i sent it with my receipt

Hi Xyz,
Always keep a copy of anything sent in to DWP, or a note of a phone call. Using recorded delivery gives you proof of sending and delivery. It may not count for much, but if you have a time limit this can help prove you've fulfilled what you need to do.

Dear Xyz, please do as the lovely mods recommend.
I have always used recorded delivery/signed for, I know it's a bit costly but what price peace of mind? And I have always added pages, using the punch and tie system.
If you have a printer and access to a copier, you can make a re-usable 'Header' of your name and NI number. Print one sheet with them right along the bottom. Fold just above the printing and hook it over the top of all evidence sheets you want to photocopy to send, such as hospital letters. Then the copy is nicely headed for no extra effort. I add "Doc ___ of ___" to mine, then I can handwrite just the numbers when I know how many sheets there are in total. It leaves them zero excuse for 'overlooking' anything. In the pesky small boxes on the form, just write, "See Docs x, y, z"
Hope this helps,
Denby

The forms advise us not to use recorded delivery.
I have only ever used proof of postage with no problem.
