I didn't submit my PIP review in time

Hi, I had enhanced daily living and standard mobility awarded after applying for PIP in 2023 and eventually being awarded the rates after a tribunal in 2024. My review came up in September 2025 as my award was fixed until Feb 2026. After not receiving the review forms twice I eventually got them, asked for an extension and the stress of ADHD resulted in me not getting the forms back in time so my award was ended in November 2025. I called the DWP, explained the situation and was advised to send the forms back ASAP so the aware could be reinstated and the award reviewed. After multiple health challenges I am only just getting around to this with a few days to spare before my award was due to end anyway. Does anyone have any suggestions around filling in the review form, or should I just start a new claim?

Hi JustMe

I'm sorry you have been experiencing so many additional challenges. I can't tell you what to do here. This has to be your choice, but it seems to me that if the DWP has suggested you fill in the review form, it is better to do so than to fill out a new form and start your claim again. You can find suggestions on how to fill out the review form in the Guide to PIP Claims and Reviews. Page 132 onwards.
