LCWRA ESA and UC top up? Question

LCWRA ESA and UC top up? Question was created by Meconopsis
I've just been reading Benefits and Work news and am now panicking. I am in the support group for ESA and get UC top up. I thought I'd been getting income related ESA but was told some of it was contributions based. Should I be trying to claim UC and hope I get the support element and how will the changes affect me? Thanks.

Hi Meconopsis

It sounds as if you are currently receiving the correct Benefits. Have a look at the statement that is posted to your UC acount 4 days prior to pay day. You should have the LCWRA element and also deductions for the ESA and maybe a Transitional Element.
