Last ESA Payment advice please

Hi everyone

Hope you are all bearing up, i am due to received my state pension first payment 7 April (turn 66 on 5th April) currently on CB ESA in support group and trying to workout when i will received my last ESA payment (have tried to ring ESA but 2 hour's wait time then disconnected!!) due to received next pment 17th April then 31st April but not sure if i will receive 31st April payment? does anyone know if ESA is paid in advance or arrears please.

I reached state pension age in January, my experience was that my final ESA payment did not arrive in my account on the expected day. When I phoned after a few days it had just been processed so it landed in my account about a week late.
This may have had something to do with the xmas holiday as my birthday is on the 1st January or maybe its just the way it is administered
. Anyway, I hope your transition goes smoothly, you have just snuck into retirement at 66!

Do you mean 17th March and 31st March (you've typed April)? If 17 and 31 March then you will still receive those two fortnightly payments. You should then get a payment to take you up to the day before your 66th birthday, so 1st to 6th April. That will be 6 days ESA, which should be £120.47. That final 6 day payment should (in theory) be paid soon after the 6th April.

oh yes i meant march!!!, senior moment haha, thanks so much for your reply. and clarifying, i managed to get through to ESA yesterday afternoon, to be honest the lady didn't know and could not answer my question!!!
