Waiting For A PIP Review Decision was created by Frogscookie
Hello this is a little bit of an odd question, i'm wondering about the wait time to receive a PIP review decision and how long people are waiting. I sent all my paperwork back for my review 2nd December 2025. My situation has worsened and changed so i did think it might take a bit longer for them to decide. I rang up today to ask about its progress and was told it is still awaiting a case manager to be assigned to it! I asked if they could tell me how long that was likely to take and told no.
My last review was over and done with by now. i realise this is not something that can really be answered with any precision but the wait is really playing on my mind, my new motability car is on order and i just have visions of it being delivered only for me to lose my award and have to go through the appeals process again as i did when i first applied.

* How long have people been waiting recently for review decisions?
* Is four months and not yet looked at typical?
* I am assuming since a case manager has yet to look at it that i might still need to have a face to face assessment?

Thank you for any information no matter how anecdotal.

Hi Frogscookie

I'm afraid that it's a question we really can't answer with any clarity. There are some people that have had their reviews dealt with in 6 - 8 weeks. There are many that it takes 6 to 8 months. There are quite a lot of people who have waited 12 months or more, and there are a small number of people who have waited as long as 18 months or more. So I'm afraid I really can't say anything and it is the luck of the draw.

I have no idea what sort of assessment you will be given - that is up to the case manager. Very few face-to-face assessments are being done, even though they keep saying they will increase the number.

Hi Frogscookie ,

i can relate. i have just taken over a relatives PIP review.

He submitted his original review paperwork in march last year, March 25. i've just submitted some new evidence this April.

When i called to follow up the agent said that his case is in queue to be assessed. It hasn't even been referred to HAAS yet, even though they told my relative it needed to be.

So here we are
