I have recently taken over as appointee for my Son's UC account. Each month he receives a housing benefit payment that is paid around the last week of the month. This month it will be paid in on 27th. However, I need to add his current account balance to his UC account on the las day of each month.
The payment made by the housing benefit distorts my son's balance and when added to his UC payment report it results in a reduction of his UC payment.
Does anyone know if we have to include this amount in his balance for UC each month? We contacted Housing benefit and asked if the date could be amended to after the 1st of each month, but they are unable to change the payment date.
