Hi

I've just taken on the role of appointee, for clmt whose been waiting for review decision since March 25.

I called PIP to ask if DWP could send me copies of the evidence already submitted as part of the review. the clmt couldn't remember. Agent said they couldnt send me anything but confirmed what was on file.

The original review submission doesn't accurately reflect clmts daily living struggles. For context under preparing food his submission states '
I have uncontrolled / unpredictable epilepsy..... at all times of cooking/preparing food it is unsafe and very uncomfortable/scary, I can have a seizure at any time. I use a microwave for my food
preparation and kitchen top covered small grill.
I use the microwave everyday and a small covered grill twice/three times a week. I am not
able to use any gas or open heat or flame cooking appliance, this is very dangerous for me,
I have burnt my forearm in the past due to having a seizure.
I am not able to use cutting items due to the high risk of cutting / injuring myself. I do not
use tinned food, due to the danger/unsafe sharp edges which can cut my fingers, hands
and face when falling down due to a seizure. '

This is correct , but fails to mention that he follows a clinically prescribed diet . This is very tightly controlled and restricted to keep him in a clinical state of ketosis . food is weighed , measured and specified to minute degrees. His blood is test x2-4 a day to ensure right levels. He doesn't deviate from this. he doesnt eat a varied diet bec of the prescription and bec he doesn't have skills and knowledge to maintain the therapeutic outcome of the diet without written guidance. his neurodivergence also limit his food tolerance and variety.[/i]

My question is , shall i add all this info in a further response to the AR1 to supplement what was originally stated ? i am sure there will be more gaps to fill in the original submission. i only mention activity 1 as an example.
I've asked 3 of his consultants to write supporting letters too. They were very surprised to learn he did not receive PIP.

Hi Sum

I would add anything that shows his difficulties, including the specialised dietary requirements. That's stressful to follow such a diet.
