I jointly applied for pension credit together with my wife. I get PIP enhanced rates for both components and my wife care for me and has underlying entitlement for carer allowance, but not receive CA payment because is overlapping with State pension. I receive pension credit award but there is no sever disability addition of £86.05 per week in the award. I contacted DWP and been advised that me and my wife should both get PIP to be eligible for severe disability addition. Is The DWP agent gave me incorrect information. DWP website says: If you have a severe disability You could get an extra £86.05 a week if you get any of the following: - the daily living component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Can someone help, please.
