PIP Review extension Letter Received

Hi David,

I have also like some other members received a 1 year extension to my review which was due after 13/8/26 So my 3 year award is now to 19/8/28 with review notification one year earlier.

Apologies if you've already covered this before. Earlier this year I notified DWP by telephone some health investigations that I had started however didn't request a review at that time as it was early days. A digital note was made on my file.

My question is I feel I'm going to wait for my extension review and update everything in 2027. As I'm recently going through NS ESA credits only claim and I know currently they treat PIP and ESA separately. The alternative I thought maybe just send in my supporting evidence and diagnosis for my files.
Can I ask your opinion if there's anything glaring I may have missed or may trigger unintentionally?

Thank you for your opinion.
Health deteriorated but multifaceted, mainly respiratory & mobility which I have a care/ management plan. However a new one is thyroid issues, care plan in place however some investigations outstanding; so I would say a moderate change.

Hi David,

I have had a good read of the PIP Guides you provided in the earlier link above.
Although I have some deteriortion of mobility and respiratory there's an impact to mobility due to respiratory flare up which had been longer than usual. Both conditions are long term and fluctuate anyway. I don't feel it's sufficently a big change to notify I only lodged a phone call as I was referred to hospital consultant which I have a management plan in place for the flare up. The thyroid is still under investigation however it is management of a thyroid condition already declared in the original PIP. With everything its a risk however I feel If I notify a moderate shift today and I don't no how long it will last I could notify another shift in 2 months the other way as one of many conditions fluctuates. I don't feel the changes have been greater than 50% of every day of every week. I will not be submitting a formal change. It is highly probable anyway that the DWP sharing information from my recent NS ESA outcome , there computer system might do automatic internal review of total benefits and that everything aligns even though they are currently separate and shouldn't be used in that way according to the reading I did. As you publish here on Benefits & Work the Timm's report outcomes are not fully published.
