Paper based assessment

Has anybody ever requested a paper based assessment, was this accepted and was your claim succesful?

The resons i am asking are:

I would like my claim to be considered using a paper-based assessment if at all possible, as I would find attending a face-to-face assessment or completing a telephone assessment extremely difficult.

Travelling to an assessment centre would be very challenging. The nearest bus stop is a long walk from my house, which I struggle with because of my mobility problems. My daughter works during the day and is unable to take me, and my son does not drive, so I do not have anyone who can transport me. I also do not travel in taxis because I become extremely anxious and paranoid following a previous incident where I was nearly involved in a serious taxi accident.

I also struggle with telephone calls, particularly with people I do not know. I rarely answer the phone unless I know who is calling. I find long telephone conversations, especially where I am asked lots of questions, very stressful and overwhelming. When I become anxious, I can struggle to communicate clearly, may forget important information, and may not be able to explain the full extent of my difficulties.

For these reasons, I believe a paper-based assessment would allow the assessor to consider my evidence more accurately and fairly without causing me significant distress.

Also what is the current wait time for initial claims please?
