  			 				Hi Helchis,

You really have no need to worry, 'phoning up to enquire about a job will not have any effect on your Incapacity Benefit.

Sorry to hear your partner is losing their job on Christmas Eve. Make sure they 'phone their local JobCentre Plus as they should be eligible to claim Jobseekers Allowance.

Also, not a bad idea to 'phone the Benefits Enquiry Line on 0800 882200, who can check out to see if you're receiving all the benefits you're entitled to.

Good luck.

Hi Helchis, don't worry too much about enquiring about the job.

I suffer with depression and anxiety but was enstilled with a strong Protestant work ethic by my parents.

Every few months I ring up for job application forms and then go completely to bits when the forms arrive.

I hope everything works out for you and your wife.

Best wishes,
Rachel
