The latest statistic from the DWP show a continuing fall in the number of claimants receiving employment and support allowance (ESA) or incapacity benefit (IB).{jcomments on}

The number of people receiving ESA/IB fell in August 2016 to 2,460,00, a small fall of 5,000 from the previous quarter. Numbers have now been on a downward trend since February 2015, when they stood at 2,533,220.
