On what basis were you placed in the SG, was it the result of a new claim, a re-assessment or a Tribunal?

What were you receiving prior to the SG award?

Are you sure that the Decision Letter placed you in the SG and not the WRAG?

Has anything happened in regard to your claim between January and now?

We have seem the DWP do this before, sometimes it is simply an error on their part and is easily corrected, sometimes the claimant has assumed that the Decision Letter said SG, when in fact it said WRAG.

If you are sure that your current award is for the SG then you should contact the DWP office for your claim to find out what is going on. If you have actually been invited to a WFI then you should contact the advisor that should be listed on the letter to explain the problem and ask them to defer the appointment until the issue is resolved.

This is certainly very unusual I would take Gordon's advice and phone DWP ASAP to clarify if this is an error or if not what their reasoning is. Come back and let us know what they say. We're back on Monday at 2pm.

Try ringing the DWP before 9am they tend to be less busy, other than that, I am afraid you will just have to wait your way through the music until someone answers.

With regard the interview, until the JC+ accept that you are in the Support Group, they can and will sanction your benefit, so my recommendation is to attend and take the letter with you, at least that way they may defer any further activity.
