Hi FAB

No I was placed in the WRAG and appealed to be placed in the support group and had my interview cancelled after a phone call to them, but that is not the point

You should still send a copy of your letter to them and try and get your interview postponed

Yes thats correct. I had letter saying I was in support group, then got one saying I had to attend interview as I was in WRAG. it was a stressful time, but Gordons advice at the time was excellent. I sent of my support letter but please remember to keep copies for you, In fact I sent them copies and kept original. It took two weeks to rectify. Like you I wasnt going to attend interview, but phoned up and they did it over the phone. Please do sort out the interview because if you just ignore it, It may just cause you more stress.

A sanction remains in force until the original requirement is met by the claimant, there is an additional week added for a first "offence".

If the advisor decides to play to the rules and they often do, and they book a second appointment rather than a new first appointment, then the sanction will remain in place until you attend an additional interview at the JC+ to replace the missed first interview.

Any sanction can be appealed, but the process can be long and there is no guarantee of it being overturned if you remain in the WRAG. If your SG status is confirmed then any sanction will be cancelled and any missed money will be refunded.

Hi Fab

Try and phone in the morning as Gordon stated and to try and resolve this.

If for some reason you can not get in contact with your JC+ advisor

Phone them at your time of appointment you will probably find they will speak to you then

Hi B,

I think that fab should also pay heed to Gordon's advice earlier on in this topic thread :
