I am afraid not, I'm not aware of anyone reporting back to the forum with this information, I would guess two weeks was a reasonable timeframe.
An ESA claim can be backdated by up to three months, so they may not lose any money.

I sent off for a copy of my NI contributions regarding my pension, but did it over the phone, I was told it can take up to six weeks, but I had mine back around four.

Janeyrobs wrote: I am in the same situation as your mother. worked for the NHS for 37 years and was suddenly taken ill and off work since last June. I too was told I hadn't paid NIC for 2013/2014, 2012/201 to be able to claim contribution based ESA. I sent my P60 to DWP and requested a NIC statement from HMRC who say I haven't paid NIC. It took 4 weeks for HMRC to send the statement. I returned the P60;s to them a month ago and when I rang 17th March and they told me they would be dealing with my info as soon as possible but they had a backlog and no idea of time scales. I started this process January 2nd 2015. I have never claimed benefits before, too sick to work and expected to life off fresh air. I hope you have more success but everything is stacked in their favour.
Maybe your MP can unblock the DWP's pipes.

Well last week my mum sent of the MR and put in the letter that she will forward the statements on when she receives them. She had a phone call from the DWP today saying they have received the letter and asked for her P60s. My mum told her again that she is waiting for the statements and will forward them on to them once she receives them. The DWP lady told my mum that they got her 2014 P60 but they can not get her 2013 P60, that they are blocked from getting it.
I do not understand how they can be blocked from getting it, also if that is they case why did they said she had not paid or been contributed enough NI when they wouldn't know if they couldn't retrieve one of here P60s.

Hi M,
I don't understand their "excuse" either.
DWP regularly access claimant's NIC records with HMRC to assess entitlement to CB benefits.
I have heard of them asking claimant's to send copies of any evidence such as P60's where there is a problem/dispute regarding CB benefit entitlement.
This should be the exception rather than the rule.
