Hi lgm,

I am afraid not, only JSA, as I have stated, you can revert back to Assessment Rate ESA once your appeal directly to The TS is accepted.

There is an option of claiming IS for someone that also receives Carers Allowance, but you cannot receive Carers Allowance and ESA, they are overlapping benefits.

You are jumping the gun somewhat !

hi,
update- i must of had the longest medical in history, lasted over a hour!!!! (must of fancied me lol)
she asked me questions to do with my hips etc etc,how i got about etc,told the truth. she type every single answer i gave but in the end she waffled but nice, then eventually she said do a couple of things,which i couldnt and then she said,i know your consultant!!!!
what a medical and i know it aint good lol

The waiting time for a decision can be variable dependent on the case load of the office dealing with your ESA.

You could ring ESA for an update :

THE ESA PHONE NUMBER DWP : 0345 608 8545 Press Option 3 for ESA. (Open 8AM-6PM. Mon-Fri.)
