Date of the Decision you requested the MR against unless the reassessment was the result of your notifying the DWP of a Change in which case it should be the date of your letter.

Hi Everyone,
Ive yet to hear about my MR (its been submitted 4 weeks today) and I'm currently working on my Appeal for when and if I need it. Ive read through all the relating guides and downloaded the SSCS1 form and created a rough copy of what I need to input into the form. I just want to clarify, under section 5 - Grounds for your appeal, is this where I add in the information in the appeals submission guide? For example, potted history, disputed activity, incorrect descriptors and what I believe is the correct one, the errors the HCP and DM has made, the supportive evidence etc?
I did a similar layout on my MR so I have all the information planned out so it should just need tweaking to make it relevant to the MR decision. This was approximately 11 pages long. I would prefer to do a paper submission (Im old fashioned) so is it possible to hand write the form and when I need to go onto additional paper for section 5 can it be typed and printed?
Many thanks
Amy

You don't have to go into detail on the SSCS1 in order to request the appeal unless you want to.
You have two choices; provide detailed information and evidence with the SSCS1 or provide basic information in the SSCS1 and then make a submission with your additional testimony and evidence once you have received the DWP's submission.
Your MR request should and anything you attached to it should be included in the bundle of evidence that the DWP will submit for the appeal.

Thanks Gordon. In your opinion which is the better way to do it? Less info in the appeal form and then a detailed testimony or provide everything up front? If I did it the latter way and then didn't have new info to add the additional testimony could that be detrimental to my case? I take it that my additional testimony submission can include any faults in the DWP's submission if there are any? I wouldn't need to send in all the doctors letters etc with the appeal as these should be included in the DWP submission?

It's really up to you.
Some members want to get the whole thing over with and prefer to provide everything with the SCS1.
Others, prefer to see the DWP's submission and all of the evidence being presented so they can cover off anything that the DWP say or that they have not seen before.
Even if you go with the former it does not prevent you from still providing additional information if it comes to hand before the hearing, however, I am not a fan of providing multiple content as it creates an opportunity for you introduce anomalies between the different sets of information sent, so I would stick to one or the other if you possibly can.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the help and advice given. I received the MR decision today, 10 weeks after it was submitted. They overturned the decision and have given me enhanced for both daily living and mobility
The total points is under what I received the last time, but from going from 0 in every descriptor after having to reapply to enhanced is such wonderful news. Its been a huge weight on my shoulders and has only made to make my condition worse, but hopefully now I have PIP until 2022 I can move on and focus on myself a bit more
Thanks again
Amy
