Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

As explained earlier PIP does not have the DLA concept of a general need for care due to safety so whilst these incidents may testify to your overall level of anxiety they will not help you score the points you need for an award so whilst I would certainly mention this, especially if the process has exacerbated this aspect of your problems but if you can't tie it back to the PIP activities (examples in a previous post) then it won;t help get the Decision revised.

I find the lack of relation to care needed for PIP hard to understand but thank you. I will try and follow the points scoring in my appeal.
When looking at the different sections prior to the points section in the F2F report, such as social and occupational history; when pointing out inaccuracies by the HPs report how is best to do it? Do I just point out the inaccuracies or do I also need to say what is accurate?

DLA was based on the amount of time a claimant needed assistance in relation to concepts such as care and safety, whereas PIP is a points based system in relation to a number of specific activities.
Dealing with the assessor's comments is important but I would not challenge them directly, rather undermine their statements by reference to your testimony in your claim form and the evidence that you attached, then go back through your limitations, showing how they actually meet the criteria. You may not have to repeat what you have already written, it can actually be to your advantage to ask the DM to read it from what you have submitted.

Hi aej
I note you advised you have some mobility issues, do you sometimes need to sit due to pain in order to prepare a meal, or do you use a crutch to stabilize yourself when preparing a meal? or if you have issues with your hands/ upper body that results in you have to use something special even to open a can of beans etc - this gains you points If you mentioned this to your assessor, in your response you can advise that this was not mentioned in their report. Also if you have a report from GP, or Consultant which you submitted with your original claim in relation to pain or difficulty holding things or needing assistance from someone due to medication your are on etc refer to the letter again advising it was submitted in original claim and submit that/ those letters again. they key is to tie your medical letters submitted (if you have any, to your issues in daily living and mobility issues) - it could be that you omitted mentioning something in the assessment because you were nervous but the medical evidence is there.
