No, even if you were to cancel the appeal, you would not be required to pay anything back.

Looking back on your posts I believe you were transferred from IB, so you need to be aware that the Assessment rate is only payable for one year from when your IB claim was closed, appeals are running within this timescale, so it shouldn't be a problem, but it may limit any award you might receive, unless you are eligible for Income Related ESA.
