I lettered the DWP last week, with a threat of a letter of complaint from the ICO.
It certainly induced a response from them.
DWP phoned me to apologise for the delay and they would send my information out within a week.
They went on to say the reason for the delay was because of the amount of reconsideration/appeals, and that my GL24 had been put on the waiting list, and the SAR should have been forwarded, but seemed to have been overlooked.
Mods, I am just wondering how many other people this has happened to, and would it be advisable in the future to send SAR`s seperately from the GL24

Hi B,
I have had positive results on several different occasions, with such a threat to complain to ICO, with SARs made by friends of mine.
I would not recommend that a SAR is sent with The GL24, as it is a totally different department that deals with SARs.
I would address any SAR to the Benefits Office that deals with your ESA, with Data Protection SAR written in the front top left, and FAO The Data Controller at the top of the address.

I requested the LT54 as well on several occasions but they all either deny it exists or is for internal use only.
Funny how they are making me jump through hoops, making my health worse and end of the full details I received this week the final words are "severely disabled"

Hi Basil,
There will be an LT54, it is used with all ESA conversions and reconsideration.
Being for internal use only has nothing to do with it. If it contains information personal to you, (which it will) you are entitled to a copy under DPA 1998.
You may wish to complain to ICO :
www.ico.org.uk/for_the_public/personal_information
I have made many requests for personal information under DPA 1998 to various organisations, and unless information is classed as "Harmful" in a medical context, (which I cannot see applying to an LT54) they must provide it.
I have even received documentation with personal adverse comments made about me on them. It was nice to know that I was "Loved"

Makes me wonder as well why so many different offices are dealing with me, think it's about 5 at the moment I can't be causing that much stress

Hi Basil,
The DWP Data Controller for your area should be dealing with any DPA 1998 SAR.
