I'll check but it is huge. 30-40% for sure.

The 40% figure relates to successful appeals in the context of appeals made, not the total number of ESA claims made.

I'm surprised its not higher but perhaps that's just another benefit related myth. I guess its human psychology to pick up on the bad news and as advisers we do tend to hear the bad more than the good.
